Chinese Lanterns
This is another design by Mr. Allen Lan of American West Vancouver Chinese School at Vancouver, Washington, USA. The meaning of the Chinese characters on the lantern is "to have a happy and prosperous new year". You can place graphics such as horse or dragon pictures instead of words on the lantern. To make the lantern, click here for the pattern, print it out and follow the instructions below.
1. Punch small holes on the top and bottom of the lantern. 2. Cut out the whole design. 3. Fold the design into a cube along the fold lines. 4. Glue side B to side A. 5. Attach strings to the holes. More
